Chair of «History of Kazakhstan named after T.S Sadykov is responsible for the specialty: «5В011400 - History», where the course is taught at a high scientific, methodological and theoretical level, taking into account the requirements of the credit system of education. Educational and methodical work at the chair is carried out in accordance with the developed and approved plan of Abai KazNPU.

An important factor determining the goals and objectives of the teaching staff of the chair is the state concept of education, the educational strategy developed and approved by the MES of RK. The staff of the chair directs all its efforts, using the latest innovative technologies to improve the quality of training competitive and in-demand specialists who meet modern requirements.
The total number of disciplines in the department is - 97.

In 2018 in all subjects, the educational and methodical complex of disciplines was significantly updated, 97 work programs and syllabuses, tests and test tasks, written work templates, and examination tickets were developed.

The chair is fully provided with state standards, model and work programs, as well as curricula in all disciplines of the mandatory component of the database and PD cycles.

The department has a Methodical bureau that works according to the approved plan in the directions:
- organization and implementation of the educational process;
- training of teaching materials of the chair ;

- school of a young teacher;
- preparation of model programs and manuals;
- introduction to the ICT learning process.

According to the prospective development plan, the department annually introduces new specials. courses, specials seminars, spec. workshops, special disciplines.

The development of new courses and updating earlier is carried out taking into account the SES and model programs.

From 2016 to 2018 acc. year, the teaching staff of the chair introduced new elective special courses, prepared UMKD (areas: «Oral history», «History of everyday life», «Intellectual history», «History and geography of Kazakhstan», «Spiritual culture of Kazakhstan», «History of spiritual culture of Kazakhstan»:
- ulttikbiregueilik: batirlarkezeni;
- ulttikbiregueilik: zialilarkezeni;
- tarihi psychologuia zhane etnikalyk Sana;
- ultshildik penbiregueiliktinneguizgui theoryalary;
- ulttik Tarikhnama: Damu bagtaguy zh.b.

In 2018 acc. year, a new specialty «Digital History» was introduced.

The chair regularly holds open classes and master classes. During the academic year, the coverage of open classes was 70%. Open classes are held on an interactive method with the use of new innovative technologies. It should be noted that the chair introduces the practice of open classes and master classes with the invitation of specialists from Al-Farabi Kazakh National University, teachers graduating from undergraduate chairs of Abai KazNPU, school teachers, which promotes the exchange of experience, the implementation of communication between universities, undergraduate and school.

Mutual visits of teaching staff at the chair are realized according to the next. criteria:
- accessibility and relevance of the material presented;
- use of elements of problem-based learning;
- the use of new methods and methods of teaching;
- the use of new technologies;
- the use of communication technologies;
- assessment of knowledge and skills;
- meeting the requirements of the relevant credit system of education,

Attendance classes are reflected in special journals of mutual visits.

For all disciplines, there are additional materials, maps, charts, films, maps of educational and methodological equipment reference material and many others.

Management review and corrective actions are carried out regularly. The teaching staffof the chair actively participates in the work of scientific and methodological conferences and seminars. In 2017-2018 acc. year, 3 round tables on new and newest educational learning technologies were eaten. A methodical seminar was held: "Interactive teaching methods at lectures on the history of Kazakhstan."

From 2016-2018 academic year On the basis of the order of the Ministry of Education and Science of the Republic of Kazakhstan, the teaching staff of the chair developed new standard programs for the specialty: «5B011400 - History»- «Ancient History of Kazakhstan», «Archeology», «Medieval History of Kazakhstan», «History and Geography of Kazakhstan», «New History of Kazakhstan», «Modern History of Kazakhstan», «Spiritual Culture of Kazakhstan» in Russian and Kazakh languages.

The chair pays special attention to the development and creation of teaching aids on readable disciplines. Many teachers of the chair are the authors of the school textbooks of the new generation.

Educational and methodical work is carried out very productively, taking into account the tasks assigned to the educational and methodological support of the educational process of the State Standard - model programs, work plans, textbooks and teaching aids, electronic textbooks developed taking into account the credit technology of education.
