The forum "Current trends in higher Education and Science" was held at Abai University

The II International Forum of Rectors of universities of Kazakhstan and Russia on the topic "Current trends in higher education and science" was held in leading universities of Almaty. The purpose of the forum is to strengthen cooperation between higher education organizations, as well as to establish new links for interaction and cooperation.

The event was organized by the Ministry of Science and Higher Education of the Republic of Kazakhstan, the Ministry of Science and Higher Education of the Russian Federation and the Ministry of Education of the Russian Federation.

Within the framework of the forum, at the plenary session and thematic sessions, participants discussed innovations in education, international cooperation, modern pedagogical practices and teaching technologies, and also presented the results of scientific research in the educational process involving students, undergraduates, doctoral students by stakeholders.

It should be noted that the International Forum continued at Abai University, where a panel discussion was held on the topic "Teacher training: experience and prospects".

The event was opened by Chairman of the Board-Rector Bolat Tlep, where he noted the importance of the forum and cooperation between the two countries, which has a great impact on the development of education and science in the country, as well as on the scientific research system of domestic education.

The forum brought together leading rectors of universities of the two countries, representatives of science and higher education, scientific organizations, members of the Public Council and scientists, professors to discuss current challenges and prospects for the development of higher education and science.

The speakers of the forum were Dina Gorbatov, Vice-rector for Education Development and Digitalization of the Pushkin State Institute of the Russian Language, Evgeny Kaigorodov, Vice-rector for Development and International Activities of the Altai State Pedagogical University, Kanai Gulmira, Rector of the Kazakh National Women`s Pedagogical University, Rector of Alkey Margulan Pavlodar Pedagogical University Zhanbol Zhilbayev, Vice-rector for Scientific Work and International Cooperation of the Kazakh National Women`s Pedagogical University Dzhumakulov Zakir, Vice-rector for Educational Activities of the Russian State Pedagogical University named after A.I. Herzen Snegurov Victoria, Director of the Department of Science of Abay KazNPU Abdigapbarova Ulzharkyn, Vice-rector for Research at Bashkir State Pedagogical University named after M. Akmulla Gareeva Svetlana.

At the end of the meeting, KazNPU named after Abay and Bashkir State University signed a memorandum aimed at strengthening cooperation between the two countries in the field of education and science.

The forum will give a new impetus to cooperation and exchange of experience between universities of Russia and Kazakhstan, which, in turn, will contribute to improving the quality of education and science in Kazakhstan and Russia.
