"Information Day" in the Scientific library of  Abai KazNPU

        President Nursultan Nazarbayev opened the library of the First President of the Republic of Kazakhstan in Astana, saying: "Today`s library is not only a modern electronic archival infrastructure, but also a unique information resource that is an integral part of the national cultural and historical value."

            The book is our spiritual treasure, our unique wealth. We find history, literature in the library. The library is the sacred well of science and education, wisdom and talent, and librarians are the living power of this temple of wisdom.

           Scientific library of Abai  KazNPU is a repository of scientific literature, which has been working for almost a century on the development of  domestic science. Recently, the library staff organized the " Information Day " event for their readers. Within the framework of the event, an exhibition was opened in the main reading room in all fields of science. The exhibition featured literature in the English language of the publishing houses  InterBook, InterPress Commerce, the literature of Russian publishing houses Lan, Planet of Music, as well as textbooks by famous authors such as Cox Martin, Michael Akritas, Hugh Young, Alan Brynan, Robert Hardy on theoretical statistics, the geography of mankind, university physics and methods of sociological research published in the state language through the Association of Universities of the Ministry of Education and Science of the Republic of Kazakhstan. To  users were given various information and bibliographic advice.

           To visitors were shown a presentation on the electronic library. During the meeting, a wide range of internal and external resources of the scientific library and methods of their use were presented.

           As part of the event, library staff who achieved certain personal results were awarded diplomas on behalf of the rector of the University T. Balykbayev.
