Abai University scientists presented the experience of Honors College at a conference in Amsterdam

From June 27 to 29, 2025, representatives of the Kazakh National Pedagogical University named after Abai took part in the 7th International Conference on Applied Research in Education, which was held at the University of Amsterdam, the largest public university in the Netherlands.

Participation became possible within the framework of the grant financing project of the Ministry of Science and Higher Education of the Republic of Kazakhstan (IRN AR19677510). The project developers are Absatova M., Nurlanov S. and Columbayeva S. - made a presentation on the experience of implementing the Abai Honors College continuing education program implemented at Abai University.

The Abai Honors College program aroused interest among the conference participants as a unique example of the integration of academic talent, leadership development and national values into the system of continuing education. Special attention was paid to the methods of working with talented youth and the formation of student`s critical thinking, academic culture and social responsibility.

During the conference, scientists exchanged experiences with colleagues from the United States, Great Britain, Canada, Japan, Turkey, the United Arab Emirates, Hong Kong, African countries and other countries. Modern approaches to personnel training, the introduction of innovative methods and forms of education in the higher education system were discussed.

Following the event, meetings were held with representatives of foreign universities, during which the possibilities of future academic cooperation were discussed.
