Scientific-Research Institute of Applied Physics and Mathematics, established by the Rector of the University of 01.09.2009 № 12.01.09/532 according to the decision of the Board of KazNPU named after  Abai from June 30, 2009.The purpose of the Institute is to improve the competitiveness of running the university research (R & D) and prepare the scientific projects (SP) in Physics and Mathematics.Research PF and M is in the building housing the Physics and Mathematics Faculty KazNPU named after Abai, located down the Tole st. 86.


Structure of the Institute of AFand M:

The structure Research  of AF and Mconsists of 4 units financed from the budget of the university:


  • Teaching and Research Center of Physics and Technology;
  • Laboratory of innovative technologies;
  • Laboratory of Computational Mechanics;
  • Scientific and educational laboratory for nanotechnology.
Main activities and tasks of PF Research and MOne of the major problems, which is currently before the Graduate School of Education of Kazakhstan - is to increase the quality of training. In its decision should be equally involved as training, teaching and research as well as research institutes. Institute of Applied Physics and Mathematics as units of the University, a leading basic and applied research in physical and mathematical sciences, in addition, may carry out the functions of laboratory facilities for the educational process, with training in physics and mathematics and contribute towards familiarizing undergraduates and students in scientific work . The institute has developed and conducted special courses for senior students specialty physics, mathematics and computer science, carried out term papers, dissertations and theses.
