International Forum on Creative Industries Held at Abai Kazakh National Pedagogical University

From 17 to 19 November 2025, Abai Kazakh National Pedagogical University hosted the International Forum "Vocational Professions in Creative Industries: Design and Printing in the Era of Transformation," supported by the Ministry of Science and Higher Education of the Republic of Kazakhstan and the Almaty City Department of Education.

The forum was organized at the Print Media Technology College (State Municipal Enterprise) with the support of the Almaty City Department of Education, and by the Department of Design of the Faculty of Arts at Abai Kazakh National Pedagogical University with the support of the Ministry of Science and Higher Education of Kazakhstan.
The event brought together participants from Spain, China, Russia, Mongolia, Uzbekistan, as well as leading Kazakhstani universities and colleges. The program included scientific-practical conferences, workshops, professional skill competitions, and an innovation contest focused on artificial intelligence.

Participants adopted recommendations aimed at modernizing pedagogical education, increasing state-funded grants in the field of printing technologies, strengthening international cooperation, and integrating digital technologies into educational programs.

The forum identified key challenges in training specialists for the creative industries and highlighted the importance of collaboration between the education system, industry, and government institutions in developing a new generation of professionals.
