Developing the Innovative Practice of Future Teachers: Business Trip within the Framework of International Cooperation with Gazi University

From April 21 to 29, 2025, as part of the implementation of the calendar plan for the scientific project AP22685979 titled «Developing the Innovative Practice of Future Teachers in the Context of Digital Transformation in the Education System», approved by the Ministry of Science and Higher Education of the Republic of Kazakhstan for 2024-2026 grant funding, the project leader, Stambekova Zhazira, visited Gazi University (Ankara, Turkey) on a scientific trip.

The purpose of the trip was to explore ways of developing future teachers` innovative competencies considering the process of digital transformation in education, to study international best practices, and to deepen the scientific foundations of the research within the project.

During the visit, a meeting was held with Professor Yücel Güleşli from the Faculty of Education at Gazi University, a well-known researcher in the field of education. The professor emphasized the need to modernize teacher education programs in accordance with the demands of digital transformation. He suggested enhancing educational content by integrating digital competencies, the fundamentals of pedagogical innovation, and practical digital projects.

He also provided recommendations on assessing future teachers` digital competencies using methods such as diagnostic assessments, observation of lessons conducted via digital platforms, and measuring learners` digital engagement. The visit offered a scientific perspective on preparing teachers in the context of digital transformation, contributed to a better understanding of current educational changes, and enriched the research direction with international experience. Furthermore, the practical and scientific ideas proposed by the professor could help refine the research content and serve as a foundation for future scholarly articles and projects.
