Internship in St. Petersburg

In December 2018 at the invitation of the Department of Comparative Literature and Linguistics of the National Research University Higher School of Economics in St. Petersburg, the head of the Russian Language and Literature Department, Professor Saule Abisheva, underwent an internship at the Faculty of Humanities of this university. The deputy head of the department, Professor Yevgeny Kazartsev, offered to the visitor from Almaty a rich program of work.

In the course of the internship within the framework of the grant «The best teacher of the university», Saule Abisheva not only got acquainted with the specifics of work of one of the leading universities in Russia, but also presented a lecture and held a scientific seminar. Russian colleagues and students participated with great interest in the studies of the Kazakh professor on the topics «Language situation in modern Kazakhstan» and «Eastern frontiers of Russian poetry. School A.L. Zhovtis».
