Abai KazNPU became a partner in the Competition of innovations in education (СIE)

The NURSERY of The Competition of innovations in education Kazakhstan was held on April 27. The event was held in the zoom format for experts and participants whose projects were submitted to the pre-accelerator of the competition. The broadcast was conducted in a Facebook group (https://www.facebook.com/kivo.hse).

This year, for the first time, the Abai KazNPU became a partner of the Competition of Innovations in Education, held annually by the HSE Institute of Education (Moscow). This partnership is organized within the framework of the international project «Selection and evaluation of educational innovations and conducting a pedagogical experiment« (heads Galiya Abayeva-Abai KazNPU, Diana Koroleva-HSE).

Senior lecturer, Aigul Akhmetova, a participant of the international project, presented her competitive application. Associate Professor Assel Akpaeva acted as an expert at the NURSERY of The Competition of innovations in education Kazakhstan. Diana Koroleva, Head of The Competition for Innovations in Education, made an introductory speech at the NURSERY.

The performance of Anton Sazhin, CEO of CORE, «How a startup can pass the valley of death and not lose itself along the way» attracted special attention of the contestants. Anton Sazhin also invited to participate in the project organized jointly with the Rybakov Foundation «Pedagogical Exam» (zachetpedagog.ru).

Then the participants` projects were reviewed by the competition experts.

Each of the projects presented a 3-minute pitch, after which the experts discussed the project ideas. Attention was paid to the project strategy, its survival rate, the relevance and novelty of the idea, and, most importantly, whether this idea is an innovation in education.

The competition is open to everyone who is interested in the field of education, without restrictions on age and professional affiliation. Applications for the Competition of innovations in education Kazakhstan 2021 are accepted until May 15. The summer School of The Competition of innovations in education-2021 will be held in June.

The Competition of Innovations in Education invites teams of up to 6 people to participate, without restrictions on age and professional affiliation. The main thing is the presence of a project aimed at improving existing opportunities in education, which has social or commercial potential. The authors of the top 20 applications take part in the Competition of innovations in education Summer School to finalize projects with the help of experts in the field of education and entrepreneurship and present them to the jury and potential investors.

The competition is organized by the HSE Institute of Education with the support of the Agency for Strategic Initiatives and the Rybakov Foundation.
