On 14 April , 2017, in the auditorium No.224 of the Institute of Natural History and Geography among the 1st year course students was held the competition " Miss of the Institute of Natural History and Geography -2017". The purpose of this competition was to determine the most beautiful and talented girl of the institute.

      The competition was opened by the director of the institute, Professor Kulyash D. Kaymuldinova. To support the participants came the teaching staff, student council of self-government and students of the Institute. Participated seven girls: students of the specialty " Biology " - Gauhar Zh. Kulmirzayeva, Dilianora A. Almat, Assiya A. Nurtayeva, student of the specialty " Geography"-Almagul A. Chapay , students of the specialty "Chemistry" - Yrys B. Askarbek , Aruzhan A. Baktybai , student of the Russian branch of the specialty "Biology" - Parila Yerbol. The competition consisted from five stages. By decision of the institute directorate was selected the jury. Guests from other institutions came with songs. The deputy director for educational work Nurlan T. Manapov awarded with the prizes winners of the contest.
          The certificate in the nomination "Audience Choice Award" and cash prizes was given to Almagul Chapai, Dilyanora Almat, Yrys Askarbek. A student of the Russian branch of the specialty biology of Parila Yerbol received an honorable 3rd place. 2nd place took Assiya A. Nurtayeva and 1st place took Gauhar Zh. Kulmirzayeva. The owner of the grand prix "Beauty" became the 1st year course students of the specialty "Chemistry" - Aruzhan Baktybai, to who was solemnly presented the winner`s crown, a certificate and a cash prize.
            The pro-rector for educational work Zhanatbek Y. Ishpekbayev awarded the tickets to the concert of star pairs "Makhabbat Alemi" to the participants of the competition.
