Meeting with the staff of the Almaty Police Department

Abai University hosted a meeting with the management and staff of the Almaty Police Department organised by the Anti-Corruption Compliance Service in cooperation with the Department of Jurisprudence of the Institute of History and Law of the University.

The event was attended by representatives of the Human Resources Policy Department, Drug Crime Prevention Department and Administrative Police Department, as well as the management of the Anti-Corruption Compliance Service, faculty and students of the University.

The meeting was opened by Yermek Buribayev, Vice-Rector for Research and Innovation of Abai University, noting the importance of the event.

Olzhas Myrzabekov, Deputy Head of the Police Department, also emphasising the importance of the event, outlined topical issues related to the choice of professional activity in the department, the fight against drug crime and road safety. His presentation touched upon the work of traffic police in Almaty and measures taken to prevent drug trafficking. Olzhas Myrzabekov paid special attention to the responsibilities of future lawyers, noting their essential role in ensuring public safety. Police officers also discussed the requirements and social benefits, security and norms of behaviour of citizens.
