Safety Measures in Emergency Situations

On November 18, 2025, a lecture was held in room 622 for first-year students of the 6B01515-Geography educational program. The session was delivered by Major Sandugash Amantaykyzy Baimukhambetova, Senior Officer of the Civil Defense Department of the Almaty City Emergency Situations Department, on the topic `Types of Natural Disasters and Ways to Protect Yourself`

During the lecture, various types of natural disasters and safety measures were explained to the students using visual slides. A lively discussion unfolded among the students regarding personal safety requirements during earthquakes. In addition, the students received clear and professional answers from the specialist to questions about protection from other disasters such as mudflows, fires, and snow avalanches.

Moderator Sandugash Amantaykyzy demonstrated not only her expertise in the field but also her strong command of the Kazakh language, explaining many technical terms using their native-language equivalents.
