Conference on the results of the first half of teaching practice of 4th year students

 

On December 11, 2019, a conference was held at the Department of Russian Language and Literature of the Institute of Philology and Multilingual Education, at which intermediate results of pedagogical practice of 4-year students of the specialties «Russian Language and Literature» and «Russian Language and Literature in schools with non-Russian language of instruction» were summed up. The event was attended by methodologists, the head of the pedagogical practice of the Department of Russian Language and Literature, Professor Gulmira Kazhigalieva, the head of the department, Professor Saule Abisheva.


Summing up the pedagogical practice, Professor G. Kazhigalieva noted that the pedagogical practice was conducted for the first time in a new format of dual training, with a combination of studying at the university and production (pedagogical) practice. The first experience of organizing pedagogical practice in this format shows that students as a whole were able to cope with the difficulties encountered, show themselves on the best side due to discipline, responsible attitude to the matter, which allowed them to successfully cope with the tasks.


The students shared their experience in organizing lessons and extracurricular activities, impressions of their teaching activities. Enlik Nurzhakyp and Gulvira Meiramzhanova talked about what methods, technological methods they used in the lessons of the Russian language and literature; Aruzhan Kurmanbek acquainted the audience with the features of the Kundelik.kz system; Shynar Amirbek talked about how she was accepted into the teaching staff of the school, how the period of adaptation, the building of relations with colleagues went; Aruzhan Mutalkhanova, Enlik Temirkhan and Enlik Nurzhakyp talked about what style of communication they adhered to in their relations with students; Ayza Ismetullah`s speech was the answer to the question: «What is it like to be a teacher?». It turned out that being a teacher is difficult, responsible, but also interesting, especially if you love children, school, and the teaching profession. Ayza Ismetulla in fact proved her commitment to teaching: as a young teacher and vocabulary school № 67 in Almaty, she took part in the competition «Zhas Maman» - «Young Specialist» and became its winner!


In their speeches, students pointed out the difficulties that they encountered and which they nevertheless overcame, and the positive side - the friendly attitude of teachers towards trainees, their willingness to help and give advice. According to students, support from methodologists and practice leaders was extremely important.


In conclusion, the head of the department Professor Saule Abisheva gave a speech. She congratulated the students on the completion of the first half of their graduate teaching practice and noted that pedagogical practice is an effective indicator of the student`s graduate`s real readiness for a teacher`s work; it is practice that reveals its potential as a future specialist.
