Foreign lecturer visiting the department of Russian language and literature

Today, Kazakhstan`s digitalization course, including in the field of education, is a leading trend in the reform process. To create a digital society, it will be necessary to update the education system in accordance with international best practices. The Abai Kazakh National Pedagogical University, as the country`s leading pedagogical university, is taking active steps in this direction, inviting foreign specialists in the digitalization of education, creating international projects and programs.

So, on September 13, 2019, at the Department of Russian Language and Literature, an active lecture was held by Olga Dmitrievna Burenina-Petrova, a doctor of philological sciences, a researcher at the University of Zurich, on the topic: «Homo Digitales in Contemporary Literary Anthropology». In her lecture, Olga Burenina-Petrova noted the need to move the learning process to a new level - digital. Another problem that was raised by the scientist was the separation of science from didactics. According to the scientist, it is the digitalization of education that can solve this problem.

After the lecture, Olga Burenina-Petrova and the head of the Department of Russian Language and Literature, Saule Abisheva, met with the vice-rector for scientific work and international cooperation, Professor Aktolkin Kulsarieva. During the meeting, prospects for cooperation and joint projects in the field of digitalization of the educational process were discussed.
