Scientific-practical conference «Steps in science»

 

On May 16, 2019, Abai Kazakh National Pedagogical University held the next children`s scientific-practical conference «Steps in Science» in the framework of the cooperation of the university with the school.

 

The conference was organized by the teachers of the Department of Pedagogy and Psychology, Professor Natalia Khan and  Associate Professor Gulzira Abdullaeva, as well as Deputy Director for the School of Gymnasium №8 in Almaty Natalia Verner.

 

This year, the children`s conference was held in a remote format. Professor Natalia Khan, Associate Professor Gulzira Abdullaeva, school teachers got acquainted with the students` research projects online. They gave their assessment to the submitted children`s research projects and distributed prizes among the young participants of the scientific-practical conference. The conference was attended by 16 students of the 2nd to the 10th grade, teachers and parents of the MG school-gymnasium №8 in Almaty, the leadership of Abai KazNPU.

 

Director of the Department of Science Saybek Sakhiyev, Director of the Institute of Pedagogy and Psychology Berikzhan Almukhambetov, Professor Natalia Khan, Associate Professor Gulzira Abdullayeva, teachers, parents and school students spoke at the solemn event dedicated to the award of diplomas.

 

During the event, an analysis of the submitted research projects was given, their positive aspects, as well as recommendations were noted. Conference participants exchanged views and expressed the need to continue the work of this conference in the future.

 

Conference participants were awarded diplomas of the 1st, 2nd and 3rd degrees.

 

The children`s scientific-practical conference is an invaluable experience of interaction between the school and the university in a scientific direction. It is important for expanding the existing positive experience of interaction between the school and the university and helping to improve the quality of education in school and vocational training at the university, the status of the modern teacher and, of course, expanding the boundaries of scientific activity.

 

The participants and guests of the conference shared their impressions, results and prospects of completed research projects. We noted the value of such an event and the need for it in the future.
