`First Steps – A New Milestone`:

Introductory Meeting with First-Year Students of the `Special Pedagogy` Educational Program`

On September 2, 2025, the Faculty of Pedagogy and Psychology of Abai Kazakh National Pedagogical University held an introductory meeting titled `First Steps - A New Milestone` with first-year students enrolled in the `Special Pedagogy` educational program.

During the event, students were provided with comprehensive information about the structure of the faculty, its areas of activity, the number and features of its departments, as well as the educational programs offered by the Department of Special Pedagogy.

Welcoming speeches were delivered by the Dean of the Faculty, Galiya Abaeva; Deputy Dean for Academic Affairs, Aktoty Akzholova; Deputy Dean for Social and Educational Work, Yelmurat Kurmangali; Candidate of Pedagogical Sciences and Associate Professor, Zeynep Bekbayeva; and Head of the Department, Akbota Autaeva. The speakers congratulated the students on embarking on a new chapter in their academic journey, emphasized the importance of their future profession in the context of inclusive society development, and introduced the faculty members of the Department of Special Pedagogy.

Additionally, students were introduced to various student clubs, creative circles, and university organizations. The main goal of the event was to support students in adapting to a new academic environment, familiarize them with the university`s culture, values, and traditions, and highlight the significance and unique aspects of the field of special pedagogy.
