Opening of the exhibition «Erlіktin oshpes danky»

On April 18, 2025 at 15:00 in the Museum of History of Almaty city the grand opening of the exhibition «Erlіktin oshpes danky» dedicated to the 80th anniversary of the Great Victory and the 115th anniversary of the birth of the People`s Hero Bauyrzhan Momyshuly took place.

The purpose of the exhibition is to pay tribute to the heroism of the generation that went through the crucible of war, the immortal feat of the fallen and the living on the fronts of the Great Patriotic War. The exhibition featured exhibits from the collections of the Almaty City History Museum and the Military Glory Museum. Visitors were able to see photographs, documents and awards of veterans of the Great Patriotic War, letters from the front, ammunition from the war, as well as personal belongings and rare photographs of the Hero of the Soviet Union, writer Bauyrzhan Momyshuly. The exhibition also features military uniforms, awards of the legendary sniper Toleugali Abdybekov, General B. Baitasov and Victory Parade participant A. Platayev.

At this event, at the special invitation of the museum management, Doctor of Historical Sciences, Professor Suteeva Kh.A. spoke with the message «Falsification of the History of the Great Patriotic War».
