KazDual project training
On March 2-3, 2023, members of the project team Abai University within the project KazDual "Implementation of dual system in Kazakhstan" (EC 618835-EPP-1-2020-1-KZ-EPPKA2-CBHE-SP, implementation period: 15.01.2021-14.01.2024) under Erasmus+ program took part in the training on preparation to the accreditation of dual education programs, organized by the Independent Agency for Quality Assurance in Education IQAA (Astana). Asel Akpaeva, Associate Professor at the Department of Primary Education, Institute of Pedagogy and Psychology, and Samal Serikova, postdoctoral fellow at Abay KazNPU, represented the working group from our university.
IQAA President, Professor Sholpan Kalanova welcomed the training participants and introduced them to the activities of the agency.
Then, participants of KazDual project presented the self-evaluation reports of their programs:
EP "6B01303-Basic Education with Information and Communication Technologies" of Abay KazNPU;
EP "6B07150-Electrical Power Engineering" at M. Auezov South Kazakhstan University;
EP "6B07103-Teploenergetics" at A.E. Buketov Karaganda University;
EP "6B07103-Teploenergetics" of Shakarim University;
EP "07130300-Teploenergetic Equipment of Thermal Power Stations" Karaganda Higher Polytechnic College;
EP "0902000-Electrical power supply (by branches)" of Electro-Technical College
Asel Akpaeva while presenting the self-assessment report of EP "6B01303-Basic education with information and communication technologies" gave detailed description of Abai University and pilot education program, told about dual partner - NGS New Generation School. The SWOT-analysis of activities of Abai University and the Department of Primary Education in the framework of piloting educational programs of dual education was made. An overview of the recommendations of the agencies and the possibility of taking them into account in the self-evaluation report and detailed answers were given.
Jigitcheeva Karlygash, Head of Department of Accreditation of higher education institutions, gave recommendations on the preparation of self-report and interviews of accreditation participants.
