Contribution of the department of General and applied psychology to the organization and conduct of the open day at Abai Kazakh National Pedagogical University!

On April 29, 2026, an Open Day was held at Abai Kazakh National Pedagogical University. Within the framework of this event, the Department of General and Applied Psychology made a significant contribution to the organization and implementation of career guidance activities.
The event was conducted in a warm, friendly, and inspiring atmosphere, facilitating active interaction with school students and prospective applicants. Special attention was given to promoting the profession of a psychologist and introducing participants to the educational opportunities offered by the department.
The organization and implementation of the event were carried out with the active participation of the teaching staff - Saltanat A. Salmeke, Sanim Zh. Bekzhanova, as well as students, under the supervision of the person responsible for career guidance, Kunslu K. Tusubekova.
As part of the Open Day program, the department presented information about specialist training within a three-level education system:

Joint (Dual Degree) Education between Kazakhstan and Belarus - a program in which students study at universities in both countries and, upon completion, receive two diplomas.

During the event, participants were provided with informational booklets about the department, highlighting the specifics of the psychology profession and the content of all three levels of education.
Thus, the participation of the Department of General and Applied Psychology in the Open Day made it possible to effectively implement career guidance objectives, increase applicants awareness, and demonstrate the practical significance of psychological education.
