International Scientific-Practical Seminar on Psychotechnologies in Clinical Psychology: Experience and Innovation!

On April 28, 2026, the Department of General and Applied Psychology and doctoral students of the educational programs «8D03117 - Clinical and Social Psychology» and «8D03105 - Psychology» at Abai Kazakh National Pedagogical University organized an international scientific and practical seminar entitled «Psychotechnologies in Working with Alexithymia and Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder».

The opening part of the seminar was delivered by Gulmira Bekenovna Niyetbayeva, Head of the Department of General and Applied Psychology, Acting Dean of the Faculty of Pedagogy and Psychology, PhD, Associate Professor, who highlighted the significance of clinical psychology within the educational system. The theoretical and methodological block was presented by Olga Bisenovna Tapalova, Doctor of Psychological Sciences, Associate Professor, author and Head of the PhD program «8D03117 - Clinical and Social Psychology». The seminar concluded with a practice-oriented block focused on applied psychotechnologies and intervention methods.

The seminar served as a platform for international academic exchange, contributing to the development of research competencies and the integration of international experience into educational and scientific practice. The seminar was attended by professors from the Pedagogical University of Tyrol (Innsbruck, Austria), Z. Mayrhofer, W. Vigl, and P. M. Pflug, who possess extensive experience in inclusive education, reform pedagogy, and interdisciplinary approaches. Faculty members of the Faculty of Pedagogy and Psychology, doctoral students, and first- and second-year masters students also participated in the seminar.
