Young scientists discussed the need for philosophy in modern society


On November 20, 2020, a Scientific and Practical Interuniversity Conference of Young Scientists dedicated to World Philosophy Day was held on the Zoom platform on the topic: "Why is philosophy in demand in modern society?"

 

The event was organized on the initiative of the Doctor of Philosophical Sciences, Professor of the Department of Political and Socio-Philosophical Disciplines of the Institute of History and Law of Abai KazNPU Kabaeva Zhuldyz and a group of doctoral students and undergraduates, the scientific leader of which she is. A competition of scientific articles and esseys among students was announced before the conference.


The work of the conference was opened by Head of Department of Political Science of Social and Philosophical Disciplines of the Institute of History and Law Zhomart Simtikov. The conference was attended by 1st and 2nd year students of the specialties "5В020100-Philosophy", "5В020100-Philosophy, Sociology" of the Institute of History and Law, specialties "5В011300-Biology", "6В01514-Biology-English" of the Institute of Natural Science and Geography of Abai KazNPU, as well as 2nd year students of the Kazakh Medical University of Continuing Education.

 

The refereeing was Professor Kabaeva Zhuldyz and 3 doctoral students of the Department of Political and Socio-Philosophical Disciplines of the Institute of History and Law: Imanmoldaeva Bakyttyzhamal, Ramadanova Zhanna, Malik Galym. The work of students was evaluated on a five-point system by adding up the points of each member of the jury.

 

In the competition the works of 13 students who submitted scientific articles and essays on the topic of the conference were also Balnur Beknazar, who wrote an essay in English, and 2 students of the Kazakh Medical University of Continuing Education Darkhan Kozkambaev, Shabdan Eldiyar. Participants who took the first 3 places: Asylbekkyzy Madina, Cheremskaya Marina, Adilkhonova Dinara, received cash prizes in the amount of 10,000 tenge, and 6-7 works will be selected for publication in the journal of the Department of Political and Socio-Philosophical Disciplines of the Institute of History and Law of Abai KazNPU "Philosophical Almanac".
