On December 10, 2025, Uldana Sabdenova, a student of the 6B01602 – `History–Geography` educational programme of the Faculty of History and Law, conducted an open lesson in the Lesson Study format for the 8 `ә` grade at School No. 102 in Almaty. The lesson was titled `Why Was Society Divided into Whites and Reds?` The event was attended by faculty methodologists, Associate Professors of the Department of Modern and Contemporary History of Kazakhstan named after Academician T.S. Sadykov, PhD in History G.U. Rasheva and S.K. Tulbassiyeva, Professor of the Department of World History, Doctor of Historical Sciences A.Sh. Makhaeva, expert-methodologist R.U. Seitkaziev, as well as OECD international expert Clea Fernandez. The lesson content was delivered through an interactive presentation and implemented using group work, game-based elements, and differentiated tasks. Within the Lesson Study methodology, the learning progress of students at levels A, B, and C was systematically monitored, followed by reflective analysis at the end of the session. The open lesson was recognized as an effective pedagogical practice aimed at developing students’ historical thinking, deepening their subject knowledge, and enhancing the overall quality of instruction.
