SHORT AUTOBIOGRAPHY

V.N. Zhumabekova - born September 18, 1982. PhD, associate professor, specializes in nuclear physics, neutron physics and nuclear astrophysics. In 2008, under the scientific supervision of Academician of the National Academy of Sciences of the Republic of Kazakhstan N.Zh. Takibayev and Professor of Indiana University M.W. Snow, she defended her doctoral dissertation at Al-Farabi Kazakh National University on the topic: "Study of resonance fusion reactions at low energies and their contribution to astrophysical phenomena". In 2006, she completed a scientific internship at the Indiana University Cyclotron Laboratory and the NIST Neutron Research Center (Bloomington, Indiana; Gaithersburg, Maryland, USA) under the experimental PhD program. She is the author of more than 40 scientific publications. Since 2006, she has been actively involved in scientific projects of the Ministry of Education and Science of the Republic of Kazakhstan. Project Manager 1550/GF3: "Study of the Effect of the Structure of Metal Reflectors of Thermal Neutrons for Use in Nuclear Power" (2013-2015). Project Lead BR21882187: "Development of New Nanomaterials and Technologies for Chemical and Electrochemical Devices for Energy Conversion and Storage" (2023-2024). Project Lead AP23484023: "Study of Exotic Interactions of Neutrons with Matter" (since 2024). V.N. Zhumabekova has been working at the Physics Department of Al-Farabi Kazakh National University since 2003, rising from a lab assistant to an associate professor. Currently: Associate Professor of the Physics Department at Abai Kazakh National Pedagogical University.
