Republican subject Olympiad among students

In Kazakh National Pedagogical University named after Abai in the first half of April was held VII Republican subject Olympiad among students of higher educational institutions of the Republic of Kazakhstan on specialty 5B011400- "History", dedicated to the 550th anniversary of the Kazakh Khanate and 20th anniversary of the People`s Assembly of Kazakhstan.

In his welcoming speech at the opening ceremony of the Olympic Games first vice-rector of KazNPU named after Abai Professor Yermaganbetov Mubarak congratulated the participants and guests to the beginning of this important event, focused on the goals and objectives pursued by subject olimpiad, which consist in the formation of active life position, the creative activity of young people, to identify the most talented students and they support. Also, Vice-Rectors of the University Aktolkyn Kulsarieva and Gabit Kenzhebayev adressed with welcoming words and good wishes to the participants of the Olympiad. In the competition work which lasted two days, was attended by 26 teams from 26 universities of the country. Olympiad consisted from three rounds.
In the first round, participants defended their projects developed on the theme "550th anniversary of the Kazakh Khanate - fateful stage of national history."
In the second round, "The current student-historian-future highly qualified specialist" was tested in the disciplines of compulsory component of SES. This history of Kazakhstan, World history, ethnology, archeology and Turkic peoples history.
The third round of the Olympic Games was called "Ethnic and cultural knowledge: Kazakhstan - our common home " and was dedicated 20th anniversary of the People`s Assembly of Kazakhstan.
All participants in the subject Olympiad showed a high level of preparedness. In the team standings the first place took the team of Taraz State Pedagogical Institute (supervisor: B. Zhursinbayeva - Candidate of historical sciences, docent). The second place won team of Humanitarian University Transport and Law named D.A. Kunaev (Almaty), (supervisor: Shormanova A.K. - candidate of historical sciences, docent) and the Kazakh National Pedagogical University named after Abay (supervisors: Mereke Tolekova-candidate of historical sciences, Professor and Eleuhan Kalieva candidate of historical sciences, docent).
Third place won the team of the Kazakh State Women`s Pedagogical University (supervisors: A.I. Isayeva-candidate of historical sciences, Professor, A.E. Abikhanova-M.A. in History), Almaty University ( supervisors: Gulim Astemes-Master of Science and Kazakhstan Engineering - Pedagogical University Friendship of Peoples (Shymkent), (supervisor: Bekmurat Naymabayev -Doctor of Historical Sciences, Professor).
By the decision of the jury first place among students awarded Musa Anafin- student of the Eurasian Humanitarian University. Second place was won by a Sharip Nurgali-student of the South Kazakhstan State University named after M. Auezova. Third place was awarded Zhansaya Sharipkhanova - student of the East Kazakhstan State University named after S. Amanzholova. Contest winners were awarded diplomas. With Special cups and diplomas of Kazakh National Pedagogical University named after Abai, where Olympiad was held, were awarded the team of Kyzylorda Statae University named after Korkyt Ata, Karaganda State University named after E. Buketov and Atyrau State University named after H. Dosmukhamedov, Aktobe Regional University named after K. Zubanov.
Bolat Zhumagulov- Dean of the faculty of History and work with foreign students congratulated all winners of the Olympiad. In turn Participants of Olympiad expressed deep gratitude to the rector of the University, academician Seryk Zhaylauovich Praliyev and Dean of the Faculty Bolat Zhumagulov for organizing the event at the highest level and friendly, warm welcoming.
