Open Seminar on the Topic “The Role of the Teacher in the Criterion-Based Assessment System”

On November 20, 2025, Candidate of Pedagogical Sciences and Senior Lecturer of the Department of Primary Education, Saule Bazarbaykyzy Zhoraeva, conducted an open seminar session for 4th-year students of the educational program 6B01303 – “Primary Education with Information and Communication Technologies” within the discipline “Technologies of Criterion-Based Assessment” on the topic “The Role of the Teacher in the Criterion-Based Assessment System.”

The purpose of the seminar was to reveal the role and functions of the teacher within the criterion-based assessment system and to demonstrate practical methods for planning, implementing, and analyzing students’ learning outcomes.

During the session, creative tasks, peer assessment, case methods, group work, brainstorming, role-playing activities, and reflection techniques were effectively used.

The students actively participated in the learning process, engaged in discussions and debates, and completed role-based tasks, demonstrating a high level of preparedness and sustained interest in the topic.
