The Department of Chinese Language and Sinology officially opened its branch at the “Zerdesh” School

On November 28, 2025, the Faculty of World Languages and the Department of Chinese Language and Sinology of Abai Kazakh National Pedagogical University officially opened its branch at the “Zerdesh” School. This marks one of the important and strategic steps in the field of education. The purpose of the branch is to provide in-depth Chinese language education for school students, promote intercultural understanding, and open pathways to international opportunities. The opening ceremony was attended by: • the Director of the “Zerdesh” School — M. Sagimbekova, • the Founder — M. Tleubayeva, • the Dean of the Faculty of World Languages of Abai KazNPU, Candidate of Philological Sciences — E. Ospanov, • the Head of the Department of Chinese Language and Sinology, Candidate of Pedagogical Sciences, Associate Professor, University Professor — G. Alikhankyzy, • faculty members: S. Meirkhan, A. Rayeva, A. Elemes. During the event, a ribbon-cutting ceremony was held to strengthen cooperation between the two educational institutions, and the official launch of the branch was announced. A Memorandum and a Cooperation Agreement were signed between the parties. These documents will enable the implementation of joint educational projects in the future, as well as the systematic organization of language courses for students, cultural events, training sessions, and academic and methodological activities.
