A festive evening dedicated to the Chinese New Year

On February 11, 2025, a festive evening dedicated to the Chinese New Year was held at Abai KazNPU with the participation of members of the student club.

The organizers are 3rd year students of the Department of Chinese Language and Chinese Studies. The guests of the evening were: Deputy Director for Academic Affairs in Foreign Languages A.M.Saurikova, Head of the Department of Chinese Language and Chinese Studies Alikhankyz G., teachers of the Department of Chinese Language and Chinese Studies A.N.Raeva, Meyrhan Symbat, A.M.Almabekova and S.Toktarbek. The purpose of this event is to familiarize students studying Chinese with the culture of the People`s Republic of China.

On this occasion, along with songs and dances of the Heavenly country, Kazakh songs and tunes were performed, the concept of the Chinese new year was demonstrated, and activists of the student club «You`re the best student» 3rd-year students majoring in 6B01709, were "An Oriental language teacher with knowledge of English" who studied under the academic mobility program. in Shaoxing, China, they held a presentation and talked about training. In addition, various quiz questions were asked for the Chinese New Year, and active students were awarded prizes.

The head of the Department of Chinese Language and Chinese Studies, Alikhankizi Gulia, congratulated the students and teachers, and also thanked the students who actively participated in the events. It is planned to hold annual events of this format aimed at in-depth Chinese language learning among university students.
