City song-poetry contest "Mukagali - eternal life!"

On February 9, 2023, within the frameworks of the 95th anniversary of Abai KazNPU among university students on the occasion of the birthday of the great poet Mukagali Makatayev an urban song-poetry contest "Mukagali - eternal life!" was held. The panel of judges included Bakyt Bedelkhan, Deputy Chairman of the Writers`Union of Kazakhstan and Alash Prize Laureate, Medeu Arynbayev, Honoured Worker of Kazakhstan and singer, and Nazim Bolatkhan, Senior Lecturer of the Institute of Arts, Culture and Sports.

There were 131 participants in the event. The competition was held in the following categories: Poetry by Mukagali - 63 participants;

Songs on the words of Mukagali - 36 participants; Individual work of young poets - 32 participants.

Talented students who were interested in the creative work of M. Makatayev and knew poems and songs written by the poet by heart showed all their talent. The goal is to support talented students and strengthen the Union of Students of all higher schools. Chairman of the Board-Rector Bilyalov Darhan took part in the event and wished success to all the contestants. The students who took the prizes in the competition were awarded diplomas and money prizes: in the nomination "Poetry of Mukagali" the following persons were awarded: I place - Urazov Armat, the student of Zhurgenov Kazakh National Academy of Arts, 100 000 tenge; II place - Sisenova Bagdat, the student of Abai KazNPU, 70 000 tenge; III place - Zhumash Sarah, the student of Al-Farabi KazNU, 50 000 tenge. In the nomination "Songs on words by Mukagali" the following persons were awarded: I place - Ryskul Inkar, student of Satbayev University, 100 000 tenge; II place - Duysenuly Akzhol, student of Zhurgenov Kazakh National Academy of Arts, 70 000 tenge; III place - Bakytkyzy Karakat, student of Abai KazNPU, 50 000 tenge. In nomination "Individual creativity of young poets": I place - Sabirjan Akhan, student of Al-Farabi KazNU, 100 000 tenge; II place - Tuyebayev Zhebe, student of Abai KazNPU, 70 000 tenge; III place - Bakbergen Nuray, student of Al-Farabi KazNU, 50 000 tenge.
