Research Visit to Turin within Project

As part of the implementation of project AP23489915 "Transmedial and Artistic Representation of the Image of Kazakhstan in Contemporary Global Culture," members of the research team, S.K. Serikova and G.A. Atembayeva, undertook a research visit to Turin. The visit included an intensive exchange of academic experience and the collection of materials related to the study of national images.

G.A. Atembayeva, a doctoral student of the Department of Russian Language and Literature and a member of the research group, presented the topic of her doctoral dissertation, "The Kazakhstani Text as an Artistic Phenomenon and Methods of Its Study," outlining the key directions of her research. During the discussion, one of the dissertation chapters was examined, focusing on the representation of the "Kazakhstani text" in the prose of E. Seifert. Current issues in literary studies and prospects for further research were also addressed.

The meeting was notably enriched by the participation of Professor of Literary Studies Massimo Maurizio, a Slavist, poet, and translator. He shared his experience in translating contemporary works by Russian-language writers from Kazakhstan into Italian and provided valuable recommendations for work on the doctoral dissertation.

Senior Research Fellow of the project, PhD S.K. Serikova, presented the results of her research in the field of Kazakh literature and addressed issues related to the translation of works by Kazakh authors into Italian.

The research visit contributed to the development of scholarly thought, the expansion of professional horizons, and the strengthening of international academic cooperation.
