Abai University Scholars at the “East-West” Conference in Poland From June 24 to June 30, 2025, as part of the implementation of the research project AP23489915 "Transmedia and Artistic Representation of the Image of Kazakhstan in Contemporary Global Culture", funded by the Committee of Science of the Ministry of Science and Higher Education of the Republic of Kazakhstan (2024-2026), a research group from Abai University conducted a scientific trip to the Pomeranian University in Słupsk, Poland.
The delegation included the project leader, Doctor of Philological Sciences, Professor S.D. Abisheva, and research group members: PhD D.A. Sabirova, Candidate of Philology M.M. Khavaidyarova, doctoral student G.A. Atembayeva, and PhD M.B. Moldagali.
The scholars participated in the XV International Scientific Conference "East-West: Dialogue of Languages and Cultures" and the VII International Seminar "Abai Readings: History and Prospects of Kazakhstan`s Culture in the Eurasian Space." The events facilitated a productive exchange of academic experience, and new data were collected for the study of national imagery in culture.
The project participants presented the following research papers: S.D. Abisheva "Transmedia Codes in the Creative Consciousness of Bakhyt Kenzheev", D.A. Sabirova "Transmedia and Artistic Representation of Kazakhstan`s Image in the Contemporary World", M.M. Khavaidyarova and G.A. Atembayeva "Representation of the `Kazakhstani Text` in the Poetry of Lev Shcheglov", M.B. Moldagali "Color Code of the City of Almaty in the Poetry of B. Kanapyanov".
As part of the trip, a meeting was also held with representatives of the Embassy of the Republic of Kazakhstan in Poland, during which prospects for academic and cultural cooperation were discussed.
