Literary evening in honor of the anniversary of the war veteran David Samoilov

On May 19, 2020, the Department of Russian Language and Literature of the Institute of Philology and Multilingual Education, together with the Specialized Lyceum No. 165 of Almaty, held a poetic evening «Prepare yourself for unprecedented accomplishments ...», dedicated to the 100th anniversary of the poet David Samoilov.

Professor Saule Abisheva, a specialist in Russian poetry of the twentieth century and the author of the first dissertation on the work of D. Samoilov, spoke about the personality and creative path of the poet.

The schoolchildren read his poems and watched with interest the photos sent for this evening from Pärnu (Estonia) by their author, David Samoilov`s friend Victor Perelygin.

The sincere atmosphere of the evening will remain in the memory of its participants for a long time. Poems of David Samoilov will be their good and wise companions.
