The Azret Sultan Museum-Reserve and the Yasawi Research Center organized and hosted the International Symposium "Yasawi`s Legacy in the Dialogue of Times and Cultures: Humanistic guidelines and Modern Challenges"
From May 15 to 16, 2025, the Azret Sultan Museum-Reserve and the Yasawi Research Center organized and held the International Symposium "Yasawi`s Heritage in the Dialogue of Times and Cultures: Humanitarian Guidelines and Modern Challenges".
The holding of this scientific meeting at the National Kurultai in the city of Atyrau was initiated by President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev, who stated: "It is necessary to pay special attention to the in-depth study and glorification of the heritage of Khoja Ahmed Yasawi. It is necessary to invite scientists from our country and from abroad and hold a special symposium on this issue."
The international symposium was opened by State Advisor Erlan Karin with a special congratulatory message from the Head of State and continued with a report. He noted that this symposium will make a significant contribution to the systematic study of Yasawi`s humanistic ideas and the popularization of his spiritual and intellectual heritage, and announced that the symposium will be held regularly every two years.
The conference was attended by about a hundred prominent scientists from Azerbaijan, Germany, India, Iran, Italy, Kyrgyzstan, Russia, the USA, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan, Turkey, Uzbekistan, Japan, as well as scientists from our country. Within the framework of the thematic sections of the symposium, scientific reports were heard and discussions were held covering various aspects of Yasawi`s heritage. Scientists also exchanged experiences.
The meeting was attended by Amanzhol Doszhanovich Meirmanov, senior lecturer of the Department of Political Science and Social and Philosophical Disciplines of the Kazakh National University named after Abay, who made a report on the topic "The Revival and Relevance of the Ethical Values of Khoja Ahmed Yasawi in the National Consciousness." The study examines the importance of the teachings of Khoja Ahmed Yasawi in the formation of national philosophical concepts and categories, as well as ethical principles and moral values. The report aroused interest and positive feedback from participants.
