At the XIII Summer Universiade, Abai University students returned with medals in judo

On May 16 and 17, 2025, the XIII Summer Universiade was held in the city of Turkestan, where a 4th-year student of the Faculty of Physical Culture and Sports of Abai KazNPU, Beknur Tanbergen, won a silver medal in judo in the weight category up to 90 kg.

Zhalgas Serikov, a 4th-year student of the same faculty, won a bronze medal in the weight category up to 100 kg.
