XIII Summer Universiade: Abai University students win prize places

From May 16 to 19, 2025, the XIII Summer Universiade among higher education institutions of the Republic of Kazakhstan was held in the city of Turkistan.

Students of Abai Kazakh National Pedagogical University participated in the taekwondo competition: first-year student of the Faculty of Physical Education and Initial Military Training, Aldiyar Komekbay, and second-year student of the Faculty of Natural Sciences and Geography, Ayman Itelgiyeva.

Out of 24 teams from universities across the country, Aldiyar Komekbay took 2nd place in the 68 kg weight category, while Ayman Itelgiyeva won 3rd place in the 73 kg weight category.
