​Seminar “Bullying Prevention: Effective Methods and Practices”


On December 5, 2025, a seminar entitled “Bullying Prevention: Effective Methods and Practices” was held in the Auezov District of the city of Almaty for school psychologists, social pedagogues, and deputy principals responsible for educational and upbringing work.A specially invited guest of the seminar was A.A. Alimbekova, PhD, Associate Professor of the Department of Preschool Education and Social Pedagogy at the Faculty of Pedagogy and Psychology of Abai Kazakh National Pedagogical University, who delivered a presentation entitled “Diagnosis and Prevention of Bullying among Schoolchildren” and shared her professional experience. In addition, A.A. Aryn, Senior District Police Inspector of the Juvenile Police Unit of the Operational and Criminal Police Department of the Auezov District Police Department, Senior Police Lieutenant, delivered a presentation entitled “A Safe Educational Environment: Causes, Consequences, and Ways to Prevent Gender-Based Violence,” highlighting pressing contemporary issues.
The aim of the seminar was to enhance the professional competence of school psychologists, social pedagogues, and specialists responsible for educational work in the prevention of bullying and cyberbullying among schoolchildren; to introduce diagnostic methods for the early identification of bullying; to disseminate effective preventive approaches and practical experience; and to discuss ways to create a safe and supportive psychological environment in educational institutions.During the seminar, the meeting and professional experience exchange with graduates of 2015, 2020, 2021, and 2025 who studied Social Pedagogy and are currently working professionally in schools made a particularly strong impression.
