Educational Lecture “If Your National Spirit Is High…”

 

On October 29, 2025, the Faculty of Pedagogy and Psychology held an educational lecture titled “If Your National Spirit Is High…” for first-year students of the educational program “6B01201 – Preschool Education and Upbringing” under the Department of Preschool Education and Social Pedagogy. The lecture was delivered by a veteran teacher and advocate of the Kazakh language, Rysken Rakhymkyzy Abishova.

During the lecture, it was emphasized that one of the greatest missions of every nation throughout history is to nurture individuals who love their homeland, respect traditions, honor their language and faith, and embody national values with a strong spiritual character. The importance of fostering in future teachers a sense of pride in their language, people, and country as a key objective of the educational process was also highlighted.

The event was attended by Zhabal Alshynbekuly Shoinbet, Director of the “Hakim Abai” Research Center at Abai Kazakh National Pedagogical University, Abai scholar and member of the Union of Journalists of Kazakhstan; and Bolat Sharakhymbai, Chief Editor of “Abai University” publishing house, poet, literary critic, laureate of the “Alash” Literary Prize, member of the Union of Writers of Kazakhstan, recipient of the “Kurmet” Order, and Honored Journalist of Kazakhstan. Faculty members and invited guests also took part in the event.

 

At the end of the lecture, the presentation of R.R. Abishova’s book “The Source of My Happiness…” took place. The students actively participated by asking questions related to national spirit, cultural values, upbringing, and moral education, receiving comprehensive answers.
