Department of strategy development and monitoring is a structural subdivision of the Kazakh Abai National Pedagogical University.

The main functions of the subdivision:

- Coordinating the work on introducing changes and additions to the University Strategic Development Plan;
- Coordinating the work on data collection from departments for the implementation of operating plans for the realization of the University Strategic Development Plan, analysis and generalization of them;

- Preparing reports on the results of the implementation of the University Strategic Development Plan for the Academic and Supervisory Board, Ministry of Education and Science of Republic of Kazakhstan and others;
- Participating in the preparation of the university analytical reports on the results of monitoring the implementation of the University Strategic Documents;
- Organizing monitoring of the implementation of the State Program for the Development of Education and Science, the strategic plan of the Ministry of Education and Science of the Republic of Kazakhstan and preparation of information on their realization;
- Organizing and conducting various surveys on the study of knowledge of strategic goals and preparing analytical materials on them;
- Participating in conducting research and international projects in the development and monitoring of development strategies.
