| Name of the vacant position: | Senior   Expert of the Development Strategy Support Unit of the Strategy Department | 
| The main functional   responsibilities of the structural unit: | - Organise   and ensure the strategic planning process (conduct strategic planning   sessions, activities to develop strategic goals, work out the ways to achieve   strategic goals); -   Elaboration of University Development Strategy; -Providing   consulting services to the structural units of the University Development   Strategy; -   Monitoring of the Strategy implementation plan; -   Organization and coordination of the University participation in world   rankings (institutional, subject, employability parameters, etc.); | 
| Main   job responsibilities: | -   Participate in the organisation of the monitoring of the Development Strategy   Implementation Plan; -   Participation in the organisation and implementation of strategic sessions,   activities to develop strategic goals, elaboration of the ways to achieve the   strategic goals -   Participation in the preparation of the presentation of the Strategy; -   Participation in ensuring that the structural units are informed about the   adopted Strategy; -   Participation in the development and analysis of the Development Strategy   Implementation Plan; -   Participation in the collection of data to input information into the   databases of international rankings (QS, THE, Greenmetric WUR, etc.); -   Interaction with other specialists and heads of structural units of the   university, as well as institutions, organisations and communities. |

| Education: | Higher education. An academic degree is   welcome   | 
| Required professional   experience (duration, field, other) | At least one (1) year | 
| Professional   Competencies: | - Ability   to work with documentation; - Ability   to process and analyse textual and statistical information and draw   conclusions; - Ability   to work in a team; - Ability   to translate documents (from Russian to Kazakh, etc.); - Ability   to present thoughts clearly and correctly. | 
| Personal   competences and qualities: | Communicability,   conscientiousness, active life position, stress resistance, creativity,   presence of organizational abilities, punctuality, easily trainable,   neatness. | 
| Knowledge of languages,   including the national language (list of languages the candidate must be   proficient in) | Kazakh -   fluent; Russian -   fluent; English   will be an advantage. | 
| Computer skills: | Good command of MS Office package (Word,   Outlook), Excel, GoogleDrive/Docs/Meet, ZOOM, PowerPoint, Prezi, Canva,   working with SocialMedia, email. |
