France Senators visit to Kazakh National Pedagogical University
named after Abai

September 11, 2014 delegation of the Parliamentary Friendship Group «France - Kazakhstan» French Senate visited Kazakh National Pedagogical University named after Abai, as follows:
1. Mr. André Dulait - Senator, and head of the delegation of the friendship group «France-Kazakhstan»;
2. Ms. Dominique Gillot - Senator, ex-minister;
3. Ms. Catherine Procaccia - Senator;
4. Mr. Michel Laflandre - Executive Secretary of the friendship group «France-Kazakhstan».
Delegation was received by the University Rector Professor Praliev Serik Zhaylauovich. He spoke about the achievements, plans and objectives of the university, and also noted that the expansion of bilateral dialogue and cooperation in the field of higher education need to actively develop the potential of friendship groups « France-Kazakhstan». Both sides expressed satisfaction with the dynamic development of the Kazakh-French cooperation in the field of higher education through the creation and opening of the Institute «Sorbonne-Kazakhstan» in the structure of the Kazakh National Pedagogical University named after Abai.
Ms. Dominique Gillot awarded the honorary title of Professor of the Kazakh National Pedagogical University named after Abai. Mr. André Dulait and Ms. Catherine pumped awarded medals University for his contribution to the development of international cooperation between Kazakhstan and France. Guests are presented with souvenirs. Mr. André Dulait stressed the importance of cooperation between the University of Sorbonne Paris Cité and Kazakh National Pedagogical University named after Abai, as well as between the peoples of France and Kazakhstan. He thanked the Rector for the warm welcome and fruitful meeting. After the official meeting, the delegation visited the Institute "Sorbonne-Kazakhstan", where she met with undergraduates Institute and faculty of the university. Senators of the French Republic, delivered a lecture to the students of the Institute «Sorbonne-Kazakhstan». Then there was a discussion in the form of questions and answers. Both sides expressed satisfaction with the meeting and wished each other continued success.
