"Two voices call". Literary event dedicated to A.S. Pushkin

 

The international literary event "He conquered both time and space", held on April 1, 2024 by the Department of Russian Language and Literature of Abai KazNPU and lyceum students of the 10th grades of Specialized Lyceum №165, became a real literary holiday. The evening was dedicated to the 225th anniversary of the birth of Alexander Pushkin and the 135th anniversary of the birth of A. Akhmatova.


The participants were welcomed by the head of the Representative office of Roscollaboration in the Republic of Kazakhstan (Almaty) Maria Simakova. The students of 10th grade, under the guidance of Marina Asylbekova, a teacher of Russian language and literature, and Olga Streltsova, a class teacher, prepared a literary composition in which they talked about Akhmatova`s attitude to Pushkin.


Arkady Vyazovikov, methodologist of the scientific and educational department of the State Literary and Memorial Museum of A.Akhmatova in the Fountain House, told the participants of the living room about the poetic roll call of the two poets.


Elmira Afanasyeva, Doctor of Philology, Chief Researcher at the Laboratory of Philological Research of SIRL Pushkin Institute, spoke about how time is reflected in the work of A.S. Pushkin. Her performance "Time drives horses": the perception of time in the lyrics of A. S. Pushkin" received an emotional and lively response from the audience of the evening.


The participants of the literary lounge learned about the translations of works into the Kazakh language, how Pushkin is studied in Kazakhstan, from the speech of Svetlana Ananyeva, Doctor of Philology, Associate professor, Head of Department of International Relations and World Literature of M.O. Auezov Institute of Literature and Art.


Irina Yukhnova, professor of the Department of Russian Literature at the Institute of Philology and Journalism of N.I. Lobachevsky National University of Economics, told about A. Akhmatova`s contribution to Pushkiniana, about the riddles of the "Tale of the Golden Cockerel" and that in many ways this tale was deciphered thanks to Anna Akhmatova.


The event was closed by Saule Abisheva, Doctor of Philology, Professor, Head of the Department of Russian Language and Literature of Abai KazNPU, who thanked everyone for the warm welcome.
