A regular meeting of the Ethics Commission at Abai KazNPU

On April 12, 2021, a regular meeting of the Ethical Commission at Abai KazNPU was held in a mixed (online/offline) format. Members of the Commission, scientific advisors of doctoral students - Corresponding Member of the National Academy of Sciences of the Republic of Kazakhstan Absattarov R.B. and Professor Tungushbaeva Z.B. were present.

According to the agenda, the Commission has considered the dissertations of R.Dosymbekova on the specialty «6D060700 - Biology» and G.Muhanova - «6D050200-Politology» for the degree of Doctor of Philosophy PhD. Members of the Commission asked a number of questions to doctoral students, made recommendations to improve the quality of their thesis research.

The work of the Ethics Commission is one example of the University`s work on quality assurance in the field of science.

The Ethics Commission, established in 2020, is a permanent body chaired by the Vice-Rector for Research and Digitalisation of the University, S. Sakhiev. Under the coordination of G. Baimbetova, Head of the Department of Scientific Staff Training, the Regulation on the Ethical Commission of Abai KazNPU was developed and its work was systematically established.

The purpose of this commission is to monitor the compliance of doctoral students with ethical standards in the work of planning, evaluation, selection, conduct and dissemination of research results, including the protection of rights, safety and ensuring the smooth operation of research objects.
