Abai University was awarded a certificate of the European company «EVROCERT»

On June 24, 2020, Abai Kazakh National Pedagogical University was awarded a certificate of international standard of the European company «EVROCERT» on implementation of the management system of anti-corruption according to the requirements of the international standard ISO 370001: 2016.

The online event began with an informal exchange of views between the administration of the university and representatives of the company «EVROCERT». They discussed the implementation of anti-corruption management system according to the requirements of international standard ISO 370001: 2016.

The Rector of the University Takir Balykbayev, presenting the guests of the online meeting, opened the official part of the certificate awarding ceremony. The guests of the event were: Vladimir Soloviev, expert auditor of the State Standardization System of the Republic of Kazakhstan, leading auditor of the European company «EVROCERT», Kairzhan Tokushev, head of the Republican Project Office «Sanali Urpak» Anatoly Banduro, director of «ISO Implementation Agency» LLP, chief consultant, Ilimlar Zubanov, expert auditor.

Kairzhan Tokushev talked about the work carried out with leading universities on the formation of young people`s qualities of decency, and the development of anti-corruption culture in society.

Vladimir Soloviev noted the large-scale work done in our university to implement an anti-corruption management system in accordance with the requirements of international standard ISO 370001: 2016. At the end of his speech, the leading auditor officially presented the certificate of the European company «EVROCERT» to the Rector of the University, Takir Balykbayev. Our university was the first holder of this certificate in Kazakhstan.

Anatoly Banduro, on the basis of the AMS training program, presented certificates of qualification «Internal Audit of Anti-Corruption Management System» to Takir Balykbayev, Rector of the University, Zhanatbek Ishpekbaev, Vice-Rector for Educational Work and Social Development, and Kambar Usipov, Director of «Parasat» Center.

In conclusion, the Rector of the University presented letters of gratitude to the guests of the event, expressing special gratitude for cooperation.

It should be noted that in accordance with the requirements of the international standard ISO 37001-2016 a lot of work has been done at the University on development and implementation of the Anti-Corruption Management System (AMS). In particular, assessment of corruption risks in subdivisions of the University was carried out, risks were digitized and ranked according to their significance, necessary documents on structure of the AMS according to ISO 3700 were approved, taking into account legislative norms of the Republic of Kazakhstan, training of internal auditors was conducted.
