Invitation to an Open Dialogue with Dr. Clea Fernandez

 «The Department of Primary Education invites bachelor’s, master’s, and doctoral students to an open dialogue with Dr. Clea Fernandez — an expert in the field of educational psychology and a specialist with the Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD).

The event will take place on October 24, 2025, at 15:00 in Room 10 of the Faculty of Pedagogy and Psychology, located at 31 Tole Bi Street. Topic of the open dialogue: «Developing the Research Competence of Young Scholars: Tools, Skills and Perspectives».

Dr. Clea Fernandez is an expert in educational psychology, author of programs aimed at improving teaching quality through continuous and systematic professional development of educators and administrators, and author of the book «Lesson Study: The Japanese Approach to Improving Teaching and Learning in Mathematics». She has also participated in numerous international programs focused on professional development for teachers.

During the open dialogue, participants will discuss modern approaches to developing the research competence of young scholars and educators, the importance of soft skills in professional growth, and ways to integrate research activities into the educational process.
