Name of vacant position:

Director of the Department of Digitalisation of Education

Main functional responsibilities of the structural unit:

- operational tasks to finalise and maintain

software operability;

- maintenance and development of the university1s local network;

- automation of processes using third-party software;

- control of access to Internet resources and information security policy.

Main responsibilities:

- interaction with counterparties on the issues of conclusion and execution of contracts with organisations for the supply of equipment, software, services, components and consumables;

- ensuring reliable functioning of software and hardware, electronic communication and telecommunications;

 - ensuring automation of the educational process;

 -Improving the IT level of the university;

- monitoring and administration of information protection means;

- management of the RDC, including planning, organisation, control, coordination and development of the activities of this structural subdivision;

- drawing up a plan of financial expenditures for the development of automated systems;

- maintaining document management in the direction of the Department1s activities.

Travelling on business trips:

If necessary

Education:

Higher or postgraduate education in the relevant area of training of personnel

Required professional experience (duration, field, other)

At least one year of experience in a similar position.

 

Professional Competencies:

- Formation and management of a team;

- Knowledge of legislative and other normative legal acts of the Republic of Kazakhstan in the field of information and communication technologies

Personal competences and qualities:

Ability to delegate, autonomy, initiative, service-oriented, attentive, self-motivated and quick learner, ability to work in a team and independently; good organisational skills (planning and implementation); ability to work outside of working hours; ability to work in a friendly and efficient manner with colleagues and trainees.

Highly efficient and able to work to tight deadlines and under pressure.

Understanding of the importance of communication skills and co-operation, disciplined.

Knowledge of languages, including the state language (list of languages the candidate should be proficient in)

Fluency in Kazakh and Russian languages.

Computer Skills:

 

Good command of MS Office (Excel, Power Point, Word), ZOOM, Teams, working with e-mail (Outlook Express).
