January UNT has started in Kazakhstan: more than 100 thousand applications have been submitted

The unified national testing will last until February 22, 2022. Previously, the UNT was planned from January 10 to February 10. However, due to the introduction of a state of emergency in the country, the dates were postponed. Additional days of testing were introduced as needed.

This year, the Ministry of Education and Science of the Republic of Kazakhstan introduced a number of innovations both to create comfortable conditions for applicants and to enhance the transparency of the testing process itself.

Thus, graduates with special educational needs in 2022 will be provided with additional time. Applicants with impaired vision, hearing, functions of the musculoskeletal system will receive, in addition to the main 240 minutes, another 40 minutes additionally to complete the testing tasks, that is, they can take the UNT longer than the rest, within 4 hours and 40 minutes. Changes have also been made in the content of tasks for special applicants. For them, test options have been developed without drawings, diagrams and diagrams. Such changes will make it much easier for applicants with special educational needs to pass the UNT.

Testing will be carried out according to the principle «1 computer - 2 cameras - 1 testee». In addition to the main camera, an additional frontal webcam will be installed at the applicant`s workplace to record sound and capture the movements of the test person. The frontal webcam will allow you to identify the applicant and exclude the substitution of faces during the UNT. It is also necessary to monitor the progress of the exam and ensure the transparency of testing.

The number of subjects remains the same - three mandatory and two optional. The number of test tasks is 120. Of these, 15 are in the history of Kazakhstan, 15 in mathematical literacy, 20 in reading literacy and 35 tasks in two specialized subjects. The total testing time is 4 hours (240 minutes). The maximum number of points is 140.

When starting for testing, manual and frame type metal detectors are used. This is necessary both to ensure the safety of applicants and to prevent violations of the rules and carrying prohibited items (phones, cheat sheets, etc.). If participants are found to have prohibited items, testing will be automatically terminated.

During testing, devices are used that suppress mobile and electronic communications signals within the allowable magnetic waves, depending on the area of the audience (computer class) and video surveillance.

After the completion of UNT-2022, the video recordings will be analyzed by the end of the calendar year. In case of detection of facts of the use of prohibited items and violation of the rules, the results of the UNT of the applicant will be canceled.

Note that according to the results of the January UNT, training is possible on a paid basis. Graduates will be able to apply for grants based on the results of summer testing.

All sanitary and epidemiological requirements will also be strictly observed. In total, more than 100 thousand applications were submitted for the January UNT.
