 FINANCIAL SECURITY ISSUES DISCUSSED A seminar titled “Financial Security in the Digital Space” was held at Abai University, organized by the Department for Social and Youth Policy. The event focused on key aspects of financial safety in Kazakhstan, citizen protection in the digital era, and responsible use of modern online financial tools. 
 The seminar featured speakers including Adina Ibraimova, representative of Bank CenterCredit JSC, Batyrkhan Rasylkhan, officer of the Almaty Police Department, and Akim Gadilbek, specialist from the Agency of the Republic of Kazakhstan for Regulation and Development of the Financial Market. They shared their professional insights and practical recommendations on safeguarding personal data and finances in the online environment. 
 During the session, it was highlighted that as of 2024, the level of financial literacy in Kazakhstan reached 41.2%. Participants were presented with up-to-date statistics on the national financial sector: the country currently has 23 second-tier banks, 25 insurance companies, about 750 microfinance organizations and pawnshops, and 15 brokerage firms. 
 The discussion also addressed the growing risks of online fraud, cybercrime, and data protection. Attendees received practical advice on using digital financial tools securely and were reminded of the importance of vigilance when performing online transactions. 
 This seminar helped students gain a deeper understanding of financial security and learn effective ways to protect themselves from digital threats. Events of this kind play an increasingly important role in enhancing financial literacy and strengthening cybersecurity, as the modern financial world continues to evolve rapidly and demand new levels of awareness.
