Methodological Seminar Held at Abai University with International Expert

On September 25, 2025, a university-wide methodological seminar titled

`Enhancing Education Quality Based on Practice-Oriented Research: Experience and Perspectives of Lesson Study and Action Research`
was held at Abai Kazakh National Pedagogical University, organized by the UNESCO Chair, the Center for Pedagogical Innovations and Action Research.

The event aimed to introduce innovative methods to improve education quality through research-based practice and to facilitate professional exchange.

The keynote speaker was Dr. Clea Fernandez, an international expert from the Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD) and a specialist in educational psychology from the USA. In her presentation, she highlighted the advantages of Lesson Study and Action Research methods and emphasized the importance of their integration into university education.

During the seminar, participants discussed conducting pedagogical research, improving teaching methods, and enhancing education quality. Certificates were awarded to mentor-researchers.

The seminar served as a platform for professional dialogue and contributed to the advancement of innovative educational methodologies at our university.

At the conclusion, participants took a group photo and expressed their intent to continue collaborative scientific and research projects.

Dr. Laura Sharipovna Kakimova, Candidate of Pedagogical Sciences, Acting Professor of the Department of Music Education and Choreography, was also honored with a certificate for her active participation.
