KazNPU students have started dual education at Prometeus School

In September 2025, second-year students of Abai Kazakh National Pedagogical University, majoring in `Primary Education with Business Innovations`, started their second year of dual training at Prometeus School.

According to the program, students will spend two days per week at the school, combining academic preparation at the university with hands-on practice in the school environment.

A distinctive feature of this academic year is the introduction of a new discipline, `Psychology of Primary Schoolchildren`, which is taught for the first time on the school`s premises by Professor Assel Akpayeva.

From the school`s side, the key participants are:

· Vice Principal Elena Vladimirovna Cherkasskaya, who held the first meeting with students;

· Mentor and class teacher Nadezhda Anatolyevna Smetina, appointed as the students`curator.

The Department of Primary Education (Head - Professor Aziya Zhumabayeva) held a series of meetings with the school`s working group and prepared the industrial training plan. Professors Larisa Lebedeva and Assel Akpayeva actively participated in its development.

The plan includes not only traditional activities and lesson observations but also new formats of work: conducting psychological and pedagogical diagnostics of pupils, involving students in school projects and university competitions, as well as mastering modern methods of interaction with children and parents.

Prometeus School expressed its readiness to provide students with the most favorable conditions for professional growth, while the University emphasized that this new experience will help future teachers develop the necessary competencies in the modern school environment.
