Diploma Award Ceremony for the First Graduates of the Innovative (IP) Educational Program

On June 30, 2025, a historic event took place at Abai University - the first graduates of the Innovative IP Educational Program in the field of 7M01509 - Digital Pedagogy (IP) received their diplomas.

The ceremony was attended by the Chairman of the Board and Rector of Abai University, Bolat Tilep, as well as national trainers who had undergone training within the framework of the project - Nurzhamal Oshanova, Director of the Department for Educational Program Analysis, and Sheripidin Khamrayev, Dean of the Faculty of Mathematics, Physics and Informatics. Graduates and esteemed guests were also present.

In his address, Rector Bolat Tilep congratulated the graduates and emphasized the significance of the IP programs:

"When it comes to the number of future teachers studying under the innovative IP educational program, Abai Kazakh National Pedagogical University is undoubtedly the leader. Today is a special day for us - we are graduating the first cohort of master`s students from this forward-looking program. The awarding of the first diploma under the 7M01509 - Digital Pedagogy (IP) program marks a true breakthrough in our education system. It is a sign that teacher education in our country is entering a new era and taking a confident step toward the future," he noted.

It is worth noting that 30 innovative IP educational programs, developed with the support of the World Bank, were introduced during the 2023-2024 academic year in higher education institutions training future educators.

Abai University was designated the leading institution for the development of 11 of these programs. The creation of the programs involved representatives from the Ministry of Science and Higher Education of the Republic of Kazakhstan, international experts from Nazarbayev University, as well as from HAMK and JAMK Universities in Finland, with whom active knowledge exchange took place.

This marks a significant step in the modernization of teacher education in Kazakhstan. We wish all graduates of the innovative IP program great success and firmly believe they will become modern leaders who will raise the quality of education in our country to a new level.
