12.03.2025 Representatives of Abai University Participate in an International Exhibition in Turkey From March 5 to 7, 2025, representatives of Abai University took part in the international exhibition "Fabric, Silk, and Clothing Accessories" held in Istanbul, Turkey.
Among the participants were the Director of the Abai KazNPU Museum and renowned artist Erkin Qaishybek, a member of the Kazakh Ethnodesigners Union, senior lecturer at Abai KazNPU, and Master of Arts Lyazzat Adenova, as well as a senior lecturer at the Faculty of Arts, Associate Professor (Acting), and PhD in Philosophy Yerlan Asembayuly. They presented traditional Kazakh clothing and handcrafted items to the audience.
The large-scale event gathered artisans and designers from nearly 50 countries. As part of the exhibition, the President of the Kazakh Ethnodesigners Union, Saltanat Aminkyzy, introduced the organization`s activities and achievements.
Kazakh ethnodesigners, who promoted national art at an international level, spoke in detail about Kazakh handicrafts, visual arts, and the cultural heritage of traditional clothing. They emphasized the deep historical roots and significance of Kazakh craftsmanship, contributing to its global recognition.
At the end of the event, Saltanat Aminkyzy presented special souvenirs to Sultan Raev, Secretary General of the TURKSOY organization, in recognition of his support for promoting Kazakh national art. Additionally, representatives of Abai University, along with ethnodesigners and artisans who participated in the exhibition, received certificates of appreciation and recognition.
This exhibition provided a valuable opportunity to showcase Kazakh national art on the global stage. Throughout the event, new business partnerships were formed, marking another important step in promoting Kazakhstan`s cultural heritage internationally. Future efforts to introduce and popularize Kazakh traditional culture worldwide will continue.
